Summer fashions take you on a magical trip with trends like Tribal and Romantic, and the fabulous '50s, transporting you from angel to African queen to Hollywood pin-up.

With so many trends to choose from this summer, you can pick the best of the bunch by matching a trend to suit your mood. If you are feeling sexy and sophisticated, then try LA Luxe or Satin; girly and sensuous, Romantic; or for powerful and regal, add some Tribal magic.

LA Luxe Trend

A flashy, floor-sweeping maxi dress, right-on-trend saucer-shaped shades and the new look in gladiator sandals is the fashion formula for what has been termed in the industry as LA Luxe.

This includes elegant and flowing diva-style maxis like DVF or Cavalli, scarf headbands, and flashy studded gladiator flats. The ultimate in affordable footwear Luxe is Asos’s stud and sequin peep-toe shoes at £75.

Satin Trend

Continuing the luxe theme, satin has come of age this season and was huge on the runways at Lanvin and Armani. A summer staple for night time glamour, with brightly colored satin tops, soft satin shorts and hotpants, or a slinky satin print dress. For daywear try a satin safari dress or play down a satin top or camisole by teaming it with denim and adding a pair of summery satin sandals. For ultra femininity wow them in the office with Coast’s satin pencil dress (from Asos £115).

Romantic Trend

With sheer floaty fabrics in pastel hues, soft flouncy cottons and silky chiffon in washed-out colors, the Romantic trend will bring out the angel in you. From girly frilly dresses edged with lace to volumnous transparent tops, this look is softly seductive.

Try Kate Moss at Top Shop’s subtle outfits or Missoni or Sonia Rykiel, perfect for girly-girls of all shapes and sizes. Women’s fashion designers have kept the summer look fresh and fabulous by adding modern touches such as polka dots to some Edwardian ensembles, according to ivillage.com in their online article "Love is in the Air." However, don’t over do it, a few ruffles and frills here and there are all you need to make a romantic statement, without looking as if you have just stepped off the pages of a Barbara Cartland novel.

Romantic inspired outfits are the ideal holiday attire, with dreamy maxis and delicate tops and smocks, to bring a little romance back into your life. Throw them over your swimsuit or wear them from beach to bar; feel feminine yet flirty in this season’s romantic outfits.

Tribal Trend

This summer season look sleek and chic in a safari outfit or trendy in a tribal print. For daytime, wear ethnic-inspired monochromes and metallics for some laid- back chic. Tribal monochromes and zebra prints can be found on everything from swimsuits and shoes and dresses, scarves and printed tees. Take a look at Net-A-Porter’s current designer sale for some hot monochromed jungle pattered dresses. Sophisticated black and white is likely to outlast the traditional brightly colored African prints.

Ooze sophistication with a safari jacket and thigh-high shorts, or the best in these season’s roll-up, on-the-ankle trousers, as seen on the runways of Versace. Michael Kors and Versace’s elegant and simple safari jackets should be set off with the season’s cinch waisted belts.

Fifites Fever

From ‘50s prom dresses to frill-fronted and panelled swimsuits, vintage-inspired clutches and 1950s-style oversized shades. This summer prom-dresses are one of the hottest items on the high streets, from demure to sexy bandeau styles. Get the Marilyn Munro pin-up look with flirty full-skirted floral prom dresses with huge cinch-waist belts, and transport yourself back to the days of the fabulous ‘50s.

Bhavini Karia :
The company I work for has just taken on a new client called MyFaveShop.com. If you're into shopping and talking to other people (who doesn't!) you should check it out. Loads of great brands plus it let you make your own shop and keep all the products and other sites you like in it from anywhere on the web - brilliant cos I always forget the urls of my favourite sites. Also like the reviews and comments and that I can chat to other people with my sort of taste in everything from handbags to pushchairs, or even in a particular trend! The best thing is, it's not for teenagers. I always thought this social thing online is realy for kids but this is good fun and useful too.
