Keep up-to-date with fall 2008's key fashion trends from the runways of London, including shaggy furs, bold shoulders, and computer-generated prints.
London’s fall fashion runways favored bold-shouldered architecturally shaped outfits, comic book heroines and neo-graphic, computer-generated prints. Luxe fabrics with sequins and metallics and furs and fringing were also a big feature, with gold and silver trousers, yeti-like shaggy coats, Cossack hats and hairy sleeveless jackets.
Here are some of London's main trends that may well be influencing your wardrobe for Fall Winter 2008:

Bold Shoulders abound on jackets, coats and dresses. Shoulders are puffed up and accentuated, making the waist look tiny. High-end designers like Giles, Roksanda Ilincic, Louise Goldin, beefed up their collections with bold shoulders, along with futuristic metallic outfits from Gareth Pugh. There are volumned-up shoulders on oversized quilted parka jackets too.
Fur and shaggy fringes can be found in unconventional forms and colors this season, such as red and blue. Jackets, coats and waistcoats from Jaeger London, Mario Schwab and Vivienne Westwood’s Red Label collection are influencing current commerical shaggy looks . Most embody this season’s sculptured styling with quirky necklines and oversized shoulders. When it comes to accessories, there's fuzzy fringing on boots, bags and belts, and Cossack-style fur hats paired with military-inspired coats.
Neo-graphic prints with a computer-generated aesthetic add bold color, to charcoal grays and blacks. Erdem, Pringle, Louise Goldin play around with these patterns in opulent fabrics.
Shiny metallics feature in skinny pants and treggings; and sparkling sequins and crystals from Giles, Julien MacDonald and Christopher Kane, take center stage on everything from pants to show-stopping dresses.
Comic book heroines influence capes, superwoman bodices, catsuits and boots — from Giles’ floor-sweeping blue-hooded cape and Louise Goldin’s skintight Catwoman-like bodysuit.
Glorious green in shades of the Irish isle. Emerald and kelly green feature in the fashion houses of Vivienne Westwood, Armand Basi and Paul Smith. Mossy green (called Shady Glade) is also one of this season’s favorite hues on the international runways. Team all shades of green with unconventional pairings such as orange and purple for an on-trend look. Roksanda Ilincic’s brilliant lime sac-dress, teamed with fuschia pink shoes, breaks all the fashion rules.
Cut -outs feature heavily in this fall's shoe trend, but designers have placed slashes and holes in their tops, skirts and dresses, giving a glimpse flesh or transparent mesh underneath. From Giles’ sexy slashed maxi gown to Ashish’s more casual revealing tunic top, these outfits are not for the faint-hearted.
Other key trends which have emerged from international runways include New York’s medieval and man-style dressing and Milan’s traditional military and dramatic sculpted shapes.
