You’ll find sexy, slouchy ones with harem pants and Grecian draping to sporty styles and utility '70s-style boiler suits.

Jumpsuit Sports Luxe Trends for Spring Summer

To be ultra hip, the fast fashion term for this season’s jumpsuit is a “one-sey”. The all-in one jumpsuit is this year’s answer to go-anywhere dress. New cuts take on a long lean look with strapless, asymmetric, cowl and halter necklines and the up-to-the-minute ankle-cropped 7/8th lengths. A drawstring at the waist adds detail this season, whilst still keeping things simple. Belt slouchy all-in-ones at the waist for a sexy silhouette.

The humble jumpsuit has had a makeover with heavy embellished tops, sparkling sequins and studded waistbands. Missoni’s heavily embellished suit with culotte pants is a new take on the trend.

In keeping with last year's ever popular Goddess worship, jumpsuits find themselves with Grecian draping. Giorgio Armani has also embraced last season’s passion for lace by adding the fabric to his jumpsuits.

For a touch of the exotic, Arabian Nights-style harem pants find themselves styles into an all-in-one., and can be suprisingly flattering. Add a pair of ultra-high heels to avoid the frump factor you are on the short-side. Otherwise don on a pair of tough-looking studded gladiator flats and some chunky statement jewelry.

Find then in the colors of the season, inky blues and blacks and undiluted orange. Pastels and nude tones emerge in silky silhouettes and blues and grays proliferate cotton boiler suits.

How to Wear a Jumpsuit

The jumpsuit can be a tricky trend to try if you are less than average height. Full length, wide–legged ones look best on long legs. However there are so many versions and leg lengths this season, don’t be afraid to experiment. The rule is high heels will lengthen the leg. If you don't have skyscraper legs then save this season's gorgeous bejweled flats for short-style jumpsuits. A V-neck or plunge-neckline will also give the impression of elongating the body.

Pros and Cons of an All-in-one

The ease and convenience of an all-in-one is likely to outshine the inconvenience of battling with a jumpsuit when nature calls. The simple principle of one zip and off-you-go, will appeal to many women both for its practicality and versatility. Ring the changes will different fashion accessories from bold jewelry and big belts to scarves and sexy shoes. Choose your style with care and with clever use of accessories it can take you from boardroom to bar or daytime-casual to dinner-date. 2009 is the year of the jumpsuit, this is one spring trend you should embrace.
