Here are some style tips on how to incorporate the Fall 2009 fashion trends into your closet so that you continue to look effortlessly chic.

The Fall 2009 season has offered a number of great trends to pick from. Finding the right pieces to incorporate in real life can sometimes be a little confusing; here are a few tips from some of this season’s trends.

Runway looks are fabulous, but how often can one really wear those pieces in everyday life? Designers have introduced some great trends for this season. Sonia Rykiel, Lanvin, and Gucci are bringing a load of trends to choose from; like the bad girl inspired biker jackets, to the always fun eighties sparkle.

All a look really needs is one trendy piece mixed with a classic trouser and snug turtleneck to keep the outfit from taking over. Accessories are also a fun and inexpensive way to show a little change. Here are some examples.

The Biker Jacket

It is quite possible this item has been around for a while. The zipper details and black leather have been trademarks for this look. However, this season a spin has been taken with jackets showing up in whites, grays, and bejeweled details. Pairing a jacket with booties and skinny jeans is a quick solution. An inexpensive biker jacket can be found at Nordstrom. Add a touch of personal style by wearing a band tee shirt. The look also works with color tights and a long shirt; throw some ballet flats on for a casual look.

Try other pieces like pants and even clutches with zipper and studded metallic embellishments, stores such as Express usually have many trendy accessories at a great price. Grab a simple summer dress and throw on a pair of booties and a black leather jacket, and your are ready for the fall.

Eighties Revival

This is a very fun look, which should not be taken seriously. Pair a mini skirt with sparkly tights for a fun night out. Colored and textured tights can be found in most department stores or specialty stores. Shoes are also a great way to show off a trend. Koko and Palenki have some great shoes with glitter embellishments and even some with big bows, these work great with a short kimono style dresses.

A key to the eighties is remembering that less is more. So if it is up to a sparkle top, the sparkle tights and the shoes- usually the shoes are enough.

Ruche Ruffles

Draping is very popular this season. A dress with a cascading detail to the side, to accentuate the waist, or up at the top, to accentuate the bust, is an easy way to look chic. It is better to keep the colors neutral and soft, letting the details of the draping stand out. A fun piece of jewelry either a chunky necklace or a big bangle, jewelry designers like Subversive have great artsy pieces, can add a fun contrast to the simplicity of the garment.

For a professional yet stylish look a ruche blouse under a blazer adds a touch of personal flair. The key is to keep this look simple for an elegant touch; knowing what works best for an individual body type is also important. Lanvin designed a great beige dress that can be worn for both day and night.

The most important part to any trend is to own the look. Lose the fear of trying new things and know what works for each body type. Simple and classic garments are best for creating a timeless wardrobe. They can make adding trends easy, inexpensive and best of all gives a simple canvas to show off great style.
